It sounds like we will be getting new music from CL very soon! KPopStarz reports that the singer has already finished several songs for the album. The site has also heard reports that, “CL plans to drop a pre-release single in the Spring to raise hype for her full-scale debut stateside.”
CL’s rep at YG Entertainment confirmed the news. According the site her rep said, “It’s true that CL is releasing a new solo track in the States next Spring.”
It is not entirely surprising that Scooter is representing CL. He works with her label mate PSY, who the two actually met through after being introduced in April of 2014. Back in May, CL made her first solo debut in South Korea when she debuted her song, “The Baddest Female.” The music video was a hit and reached over one million views on its first day.
The site reports that CL has made several appearances in the US over the last year and has met with Pharrell as well as with fellow female rappers. Nicki Minaj and MIA. She has also reportedly signed a contract with Maybelline for an endorsement deal.

2NE1 was founded by YG Entertainment in 2009 and it is made up of four girls, with CJ as the band leader. So far the group has released two studio albums. “To Anyone” which was released in 2010, and “Crush” in 2014.
